(MY ALL TIME FAV) Meredith knows the Chief knows that she knows he was drinking at Joe's. But what's interesting is how he handles it: he offers to become her mentor in the skills lab. By Christmas, Meredith and the Chief are practicing skills on cadavers, and she's urging him to make up with Derek. & they have a dinner at Mer's house which was AWESOME! At New Years the Chief tells Mer that it's his last drink but we all know that's a lie when Mer receives a page from Joe because the Chief is drunk and Mer realizes she has to do something. I just love that at New Year, Ari, Mark, Lex, MerDer are operating and at 12 they all KISS! LOVE THAT! (Big props to Krista Vernoff on that one)
